Online Metronome, Tuner & Chord Dictionary — Common Guitar & Bass Tools
MuseDrill's common tools are free online music tools you can use on any instrument, guitar or bass. An online metronome and online tuner, a chord dictionary and chord analyzer, ear training, a chord-progression matrix, strumming, a looper and a routine timer — every supporting tool your practice needs, gathered on one screen. No install, no sign-up; it runs straight in your browser.
Good playing comes from good tool habits. Once you build a routine of always tuning up, letting the metronome carry you, and checking sounds with your ears, your skill follows naturally. The tools on this page aren't tied to a single instrument, so they're just as useful for songwriting, arranging, rehearsal prep and theory study.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the online metronome really free?
- Yes. Every common tool, including the metronome, tuner and ear training, is free with no sign-up or payment.
- How do I use the online metronome?
- Set the BPM with −/+ in the metronome bar at the top and hit ▶ to start. In ⚙ Settings you can adjust the beat count, 8th/16th subdivisions, swing, and a tempo trainer that gradually speeds up.
- Which instruments does the online tuner work for?
- Both guitar and bass. It detects each string's pitch in real time through the mic and handles standard tuning as well as alternate tunings like Drop D.
- How is ear training different from chord analysis?
- Ear training plays intervals and chords for you to identify, building relative pitch. Chord analysis listens to a chord you actually play through the mic and estimates its name.
- Can I use it without reading music or knowing theory?
- Yes. Pick a goal in Quick Start to jump straight to the right tool, and the How-to · Glossary tab explains the basic terms in plain language.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Every tool runs right in your browser and works on PC, iPhone and Android with no install.
